Default Need Advice

Im upgrading my motor and converting from sohc to dohc. 4.6 L v8
Im looking for a good solid 5 speed transmission. That can handle high horsepower.
Does anyone have a Internet link to what will fit a 2003 cobra iron block.

Unless it's already trashed, the stock T45 or TR3650 (being an '01 your car could have either) will handle that engine depending on your use for the car. With sticky tires and a little bit of suspension stuff, the first thing to break on a hard launch would be an axle. IMO only after building the rearend will a stock trans become the next weak link.

I know you said 5 speed, but a T56 out of another Cobra seems like the obvious choice given the nature of your engine swap.

Otherwise, someone around here should be able to get you going in the right direction as far as sourcing either the parts for or an already built 3650. Could always go the TKO 500/600 route but I wanna say I've heard mixed things about them over the years.
