Ok so can someone help me today i notice if my tail lights are on my reverse light are on. Any help please.

I'm not that familiar with the AODE tranny in your car, but Google up your "Reverse Light Switch" to see what it looks like then find it on the driver's of your tranny I believe. Test to see if it's bad

AODE has a transmission range sensor instead of a backup lamp switch. If unplugged, the reverse lamps shouldn't light up at all. I have a feeling that the problem is likely somewhere else, probably a wiring issue.

Is there any chance that someone was messing around with the taillamps, perhaps attempting to convert from the horizontal housings to the vertical ones? I've heard that that requires a modification to the wiring harness.

Thanks for getting back to me yes i just switched over to them. So i have ordered the proper harness. They company who sold me the lights assured me they would be a direct fit wrong. So ill let you know if that fixes the issues.

i would have left it stock but i saved this car from the junk yard gave it a second life. When i got it the roof was rusted rear passenger quarter rusted mirrora had dry wall screws holding them on head lights where zipped tied in due to the header panel being busted and the tail lights looked like someone smashed them with a bat...

Never the less i didnt want to see it go to a junk yard.

I hate seeing cars rotting away in junkyards. That poor clear coat! It's looking better already. Well, hopefully that harness takes care of the light issue.

I installed the harness yesterday and lights work. The 96 harness plugged right in and didnt have to splice any wires i am super happy.
