Default F/S -1998 Cobra Convertible 1 of 223 built

1998 SVT Mustang Cobra Convertible. This is a 1 of 223 Cobra's built in this color and options. SVT certificate comes with the car. Recently had new high quality top with back glass window and defogger installed. Four new tires, transmission rebuilt a year ago and new clutch installed at that same time. Rock chip from highway grew to a crack and had windshield replaced. Mach 460 stereo system amp went out in it last week, so had new stereo and speakers installed throughout, Memphis Audio speakers guaranteed 3 years. Also got new 17' chrome wheels installed a year or so ago. 77k original miles. polished BBK cold air intake, Eibach lowering springs, nice exhaust, with 3 inch chrome long tips, sounds awesome. Also comes with the convertible top cover to install when the top is down, a very nice addition that really smooth's things out and looks killer. Hood has chrome hood pins on the two front corners since the original latch mechanism was not working well, and the front lip of the hood has a couple cracks from people pushing on the edge instead of above the latch when the latch was out of adjustment. Dark tinted window. Here is a link to a custom page with many pictures and description of this cool 98' Cobra... http://www.fastcoolcars.com/98-cobra-conv.htm

This Cobra was issued a flood title in 1999 when it had 7,000 miles. (that was ten years ago and 70,000+ miles ago) and the car had went all that time and miles without any issues that might come up from being a flood issued vehicle. This car has won many trophies in all that time as well, and served as a great show car and daily driver for years too. Recently the input shaft bearing retainer has worn out in the transmission and caused the pilot bearing and possible the input shaft bearing to wear sooner as well, it is making a clunking noise from there, as well as I think there is a tick in the valve train, but may be more involved. I drove it till last weekend when I heard this noise and brought it back to the house where it is sitting in the air there. I was going to replace the worn parts, but trying to downsize a little now instead. (Addition I let a guy drive it who over-revved it and now there is a connecting rod sticking out the oil pan.)

$3500 Lots of new parts, and mods.
