Default NC Emissions tests

Hello all,
Looking into getting an off road H pipe for my '07 GT. Can't remember if there is a sniffer test or visual inspection for cats on the car...
Currently thru the tune I'm running, the rear cat sensors are turned off, however I have a tune that I run before inspections to turn the sensors back on. I should be in the clear unless they do a visual inspection or sniff test. I don't remember them doing those though.

Thanks!!

Here in GA they will plug into the OBD II port of the car if it is new enough to have it(I beleive 98 and up but I could be wrong)....And if the computer see the cats then you will pass. No lights are one the dash like check engine right? I have been told starting this year GA was going to start a visual check, from the thread I started I been told yes they do and no they dont. So its kinda up in the air, I guess it depends on where you go to get it done.

How did they check your car last year when you had it done?

that's just it, don't remember them doing a sniff test or visual. I guess the best way is to go down to the inspection station and just ask the guy outright.
They do plug into the OBD2 port and check to make sure all is ready, and I do run an Emissions tune every year when I get it done.

I really dont see them doing a sniff test just bc the OBD2 will tell them everything they need to know...Besides the visual test.

yeah, im pretty sure they just scan the obdII and dont do a real sniff test. i know on the pre 96 cars they are supposed to do a visual, but not sure about it on the obdII cars since the computer shows that the cats are there.

I've never seen them do a visual or sniff test on mine, just a plug in to the OBDII port.
