update.. i loaded the tune then like a dumb *** went straight to the inspection station. Guess what happened? Well if answered- received 2 not ready codes you are correct. the tech told me to drive it around for a while and come back.

If your car is registered in a different county (not travis nor williamson nor any of the dallas/houston areas), get it inspected in one of the non-emissions counties. If you go to school out of those counties, get your address changed to where you go to school and get it inspected. (had to so that for one of my daughters' vehicles ).
As far as tint, good luck. The f'n law changes got me on tint, too. Depends where you go for sure on that though.
And you can pass emissions inspections with the right tune and proper setup. I ran my vortech setup, with high-flow cats, and pass inspection every year.
As mentioned, you do need a tune with the rear o2 sensors turned on, otherwise you will fail with too many 'not ready' errors.
