Default Is it worth it??

Hello, I am currently in the market for a Mustang and found what looks like a nice 95 GT convertible, the only problems are the odometer stopped working, the key is stuck in the ingnition and an O2 sensor threw the check engine light. They are asking 3700 or trade for a 4 door SUV. I am looking at trading my 99 Grand Cherokee with 163000, auto, 4x4, leather with the 4.0 straight six which I feel is worth about 3000.

A. Are those easy or stay away from problems.
B. With those problems is it worth the 3700 asking price? And if not, what would it be worth based on your experience?

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Even if this particular Mustang does not work out, I am on the hunt to trade my Grand for a Mustang.

If it's in good shape, that's a decent price. Those are not serious problems IMO.

I would have to agree^^^. If it's in ok shape, I'd say that a fair price. I wouldn't trade your Jeep though. But, I'm very biased towards straight-sixes and 4-wheel drive being in Michigan.

Well I just found out some more info on the odometer. Apparently is stopped working at 212--- miles but 4 months prior to the current owner, the previous owner supposedly put a crate motor in it and the new owner has put maybe 15000 miles on it in the past year. What would your opinion on the vehicle with that info added to the previous info?

And again thanks for any advice. I don't want to get another "bad" car, I have made that mistake in the past before and don't want a repeat.

A new crate motor would just sweeten the deal for me.

Check the floor pans for rust, your going to have to get under the car to look it over. Also check the shock towers they tend to build up rust.

As for the stuck key may just have to spray WD40 in there. My 72 Mach 1 did that once the key would not come out.
