Cam is the same (the roller cam engines began in 1985).

You will have to get an '85 distributor withduraspark ignition boxesor get a standalone aftermarket distributor designedfor an '85 (I like Mallory).

Why convert to carb with a pretty well stock motor? EFI makes more torque. The whole carb conversion is a more airflow for the $$$ thing. If you've got better heads and more cam, then yea its gonna be a whole lot cheaper to buy a carb and intake than intake, injectors, maf, and t.b.

I just did it on my 87. Not as easy as everyone says. There's alot of little things to consider.

buy a MSD distributor 6AL and a blastrer coil and call it a day.

im still wondering why youd wanna mess up a good thing and make it carbed over EFI. the ease of tuning EFI is so much better. reliability, no cold start issues.......

to each his own

wrong, to tune a efi you need a programmer...best way is a dyno, cant say anything about reliability if it jetted correctly, and cold start.....CALLED A CHOKE.
