Default anyone have an S/D 347???

im looking into stroking my 88 GT right now and currently the car is speed density.

i am not sure if you can even stroke an s/d car with out converting to mass air or getting something like mega squirt.

does any one have any input?

i should re phrase the question better.

What i mean is will an s/d car run without needing some type of computer upgrade with any type of stroker.

I am really looking to stroke my car but do not really want to change to mass air because my current set up is built for it. (I have a vortech v1 with a blow through set up or BOV im not sure what it is exactly called but i know it only works with S/D)

I've never seen a blower on a S/D car. Not doubting you it's just that the S/D is normally first thing to go. On your set up I have no idea

SD isnt a bad system, its just difficult to tune. Most tuners dont even want to go near it.

just swap and you will be fine

Stroker setup + SC can be done with speed density. Did a 1989 F150 5.0 SC moons ago, 6 psi Powerdyne.... no MAF conversion.

A lot of it depends on the system. FAST XFI is SD and it's on some extremely fast cars with wild cams and large blowers. It comes down to how much you're willing to spend.

Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.
12.80 at 110.5mph NHRA DA corrected

If you are going to spend the money to build a stroker motor, change to mass air so you can take FULL advantage of your parts/time/money. I've seen superchargers in sd STREET cars too....they never run like they are supposed to. I don't get it. can you make a sd car fast? yes! but it all depends on what fast is to you.
