Ok now I follow ya. So for the water temp gauge I splice into the wire and connect it to my temp sensor etc etc.

ok guys a little update here for ya.

I have everything out of the car that I will not need, except fuel pump and lines. A/C is gone, the computer harness is gone. Its amazing how the engine bay cleans up with all that gone. I picked up a set of Gt40ps yesturday.

Now...as far as vacumn lines, what can I take out?

Vacuum lines...pretty much everything. Obviously everything smog related is gonna disappear. Unless you're keeping cruise control, the only thing you should have left vacuum wise should be a line to the booster, a line going into the firewall for heater controls and vacuum advance.

Oh and a carb'd engine bay does clean up nicely doesn't it?

My junk:

Ok I dont have heat, my cruise control doesnt work and I dont care, so I can rip every vacumn line off in the engine bay and coming out of the firewall except the brake booster?

if your trying to go fast id skip over the vacuum secondary carbs and get a double pumper. not sure this conversion is worth it on such a mild build.

Double pumpers eat gas I heard. And im sick of fuel injection, I could throw a carb on a bone stock car if I wanted too. Doesnt matter if its a mild build or not, I feel like going carbed. Btw this setup is temporary.

double pumpers can eat the gas. all you have to do is keep your foot out of it. i would mount the fuel pressure regulator on the core support. due to extra fuel in the lines. iv done both from stut tower to carb and core support to carb. the core support way i pick up 2 mph at the track. the lines are longer and acts like a resivoir. just a thought.

it all depends on what your trying to do, i just thought id let you know if you like going to the track vac sec. carbs dont 60' very well. the eddy avs carb you could probably tune to 60' well but with a hooley the dp is the only way to go for real high performance. also if your 5spd i dont think id bother w/vacuum secondary either

carbs work good. in a mild setup your gonna lose some torque though

About the fuel lines, the stock size is too small or will they work? If I can use them I just need to hard wire the fuel pump and get a regulator right?
