Got some questions on the carb swap before i get started
alright guys looking for some info,if you dont mind. I have a '88 SSP mustang that i am swapping over to carb (old school). I have defintly decided on a barry grant carb. thinking 650 with an eldelbrock airgap intake. i'm wanting room to grow as i plan on replacing the heads later on this summer. what do you think of this setup? is the carb to much? not enough?
next question is fuel pressure regulator-i'm keeping my intank pump so i am told aeromotive offers a reg. that has a return-made for carbs. does any1 know the part#? and what size return line should i run?
and my last question at the moment is dist/ignition- what setup do you find to work the best? msd? mallory?
again thank you for any help

If you do run new fuel lines, most people will prolly tell you 1/2" lines. I have seen a big block Mopar engine run good with a 3/8" line. It still wouldn't hurt to go bigger though.
The car I was referring to above is running 4cyl. metal lines.

i did this a few times, as stated above, that 20$ holley fuel reg. with 1in 2outs will work, make sure its the higher psi one, off the top of my head i think its 4 1/2-9psi, then just hook up the in to the in, one for the return, one to the carb, then set it to the correct psi. i believe i used 3/8th fuel injection hose for all 3 hook ups. simple as that.... you can call places your looking at carbs. tell them your set up and what your plans are and they should be able to assist you as good, if not better than us...... any more questions, just pm me ill be glad to help....
