Default wanting 250-300 RWHP

I have an 86 vert 88 heads an bout to get a short block what setup should i run to get these number its speed density but pretty sure im goin carbed just to clean up the engine bay

I'd get some real heads instead of those junk Ford heads as a starter.......

^^ what he said!! On my 87 I went from stock e7's w/ 1.7 rr to tfs 170cc heads and 1.72rr's from an explorer intake to a bbk ssi intake and picked up 39whp 28wtq old and new power numbers in my sig just to help give an idea.

Trick flow seems to be the most popular for the price, but if you've got the cash, Air Flow Research seems to be making a run for top seat.
