So Ive really been thinking about making a jump from EFI to Carb. I have a 95 GTS with a 5.0 AFR165s F303 exploder intake, catless h pipe, headers and flows... right now it has 19# injectors still. I really dunno which way i wanna go with the car. there is a mark 8 in the junkyard i was thinking about getting the 24# injectors off of it and buying a C&L with the 24# sample tube.
So lets vote leave it EFI or make it Carb'd (this car isnt a daily driver and i dont mind carb'd cars for that purpose we also have no emissions testing here in the south)

Carb is great if your willing to learn. People(the younger guys) talk bad about them because all they know is EFI...thats what they learned. I was the same way.. I learned how to tune EFI and it became 2nd nature on my old 2v. Now that iv learned about carbs, they are easy and a lot more forgiving.
All you need is a vacuum gauge and a flat head screwdriver and you can handle most situations. Now obviously, if you want to build a monster car with a blower/turbo you likely want to go EFI. If you want an n/a car/nitrous car or maybe a simple blower(yes they do make blowers for carbs)...carbs are cheap and easy.
ive had tons of Stangs that were carbed the 95 is the newest ive ever had :P so im not scared of having anything.... with that said i just not sure about making the jump. i have a 670 street avenger which is way too large for the fastback(came off a 351c i built a few years ago) i could use and then buy a 570 for the fastback
then a used torker intake, ive got an 85 dizzy and ignition box laying around im sure so id just need to pull the tank and put a hose in place of the pump or buy a fpr to get the pressure down to a carb level.
I personally like carbs, dont have to pay someone to tune your car when you want to change somthing, also I seen the 429 option which I would say no to but highly recommend going to a 351 only way to go with these cars imo
Sounds like you want to go carb, but you want some support. Soooo Do it! lol keep all your old stuff if you want to go back EFI and then you can sale the carb stuff to up grade your EFI if you want to go back. So do it!
so thinking about this more. apparently ic can just pull the pump use this http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...l-Sending-Unit and leave my stock sending unit in the tank so the gauge will work. all ill be using would be the fuel lines from this part to supply the carbed setup.
