awesome write up Mike!
Blair,
I've heard that the light spread can be dangerous if improperly aimed. Aftermarket HID's typically offer a bulb coating service to cut down on the amount of high, scattered light that blinds oncoming drivers. I just ordered kits for my headlights and fogs and I got the bulb coating for both sets. Typically, aftermarket HID's will have a brighter intensity than OEM because you can order higher-wattage packages. Check my link in the next lines.
For anyone interested, retrosolutions is having a group buy (aka a NICE discount) for MF members!

"100% flawless plug and play operation on all cars, trucks, and other vehicles" from their website.
Many MF users have these HIDs and love them. I have two sets on the way.

Yes, the brackets that I used on the ballasts came with the stangmods kit. It was very complete. The only thing I used additional was a few extra zip ties.....
Thx....

mlcrycc, excellent work. Thanks for the post!!!
Guys,
I installed my HID lights over 6 months ago (headlight and fogs) and I have a question... My low beam lights work very good, no complains but... my high beams are not what I expected... I suspected the bulbs were damaged and I got new ones and the result was exactly the same. My kits are 55W, 6000W for both, headlights and fogs.
Is anyone of you experiencing the same issue? Good low beams and weak high beams? Any idea... My set up is exactly as mlcrycc just posted it.
Thanks,
Pipe.
