Default 99 V6 Convertible Springs

Hello all, I am trying to figure out which set of springs I want. I am leaning towards the Ford B or C springs, but I notice that some vendors are saying that for the V6 convertibles, use the V8 Coupe springs. I also see some listings for convertible specific springs, but I think those are for the V8 Vert. Or am I wrong. I am getting ready to put the Tokico HP shocks and struts I got last year on finally, and want to do the springs while I am in there.A tight budget is also a concern. I only want a mild drop any way, not looking to slam it since I do drive it on 200-400 mile trips occasionaly, and that way I won't have to get CC plates right away. I can get those next round along with the other goodies I am looking at.

Any thoughts, suggestions or warnings?

Thanks in advance

You can go with the B springs... they will work fine on your convertible, although the drop may only be about 0.75 to 1 inch. Is that the drop you are looking for?

Some companies make springs for every Mustang option... different years, different engines, coupe vs. convertible. Sometimes these applications are just for customer clarity... and the spring ratings are just slightly slightly different. Other companies make one spring part number for all models of Mustangs. You can conclude from this, that there is very small differences between springs throughout the years.

Eibach has a specific part number for the V6 convertible. Here is a link http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...p?idproduct=82

Sincerely,

Sincerely,

Ok Thanks, I was lloking at the spring rates on the B's and it looks a bit more compatible as compared to the OE springs, the base rate on the fronts starts out closer. Is there any kind of MF code I need to enter when ordering so as the Forum gets credit and any discount if any?

Thanks,

Matt

Hello again Josh, now that I will actually be getting tax money back this year, I will be ordering the B springs soon, can you resend that pm as it is long since gone from my inbox.

Matt
