Default strut retainer

my car got smashed into snapping the strut in half, i replaced the strut but the retainer (not sure if thats what its called was bent). Its the piece that slides down the rod and i believe sits on top in the strut so that when u let the car down it doesnt just push the rubber bushing and everything out from up top. Does anyone know what this piece is called? even ford couldnt even find exactly what i was talking about any info would be great thanks

Default RE: strut retainer

Are you referring to the camber plate / strut mount? or something on the strut itself?
