Default Gabriel Ultra's.

What do you guys think of Gabriel Ultra's? I'm trying to come up with a cheap upgrade/repair on my car's suspension. I am thinking gabriel ultra's and some kind of FRPP spring. What would you guys say to that?

Well we dont sell or deal with Gabriel, so I cannot really comment.

Most of those auto parts store brands are of low quality... equal to OEM motorcraft.

I would suggest Tokico HP's at the minimum if you're planning on installing lowering springs.

With the way everything worked out, my gabriel ultra's cost me 90$ for struts and shocks. I can't complain, and the handling difference over stock (and broken, at that) is bar none amazing. I'm very satisfied, especially knowing I get a lifetime warranty. I still want tokico blues...

But I ran into an issue, I couldn't break lose my tie rod ends so I ended up not able to replace my spring insulators.

you can actually push the control arm down enough to remove the spring, without removing the tie rod end. Sometimes you have to put your whole body weight into it.

Yeah, I was a bit scared of doing all that. When I order my tokico blues, I'll do it right and get me some energy bushings, and some kind of lowering spring, I'll make sure to get CC plates too. Like I said, I wanna do it right, but I need working suspension now. 90$ to satisfy a need I can live with.

The money I saved went towards a fix for my clutch setup. Not sure if I can get it on tomorrow, but adjustable cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrant.

i love the way these shocks f eel compared to stock. I'm now looking forward to in the future owning some tokico blues, but for now, I got a nice set of easily replaces shocks/struts with a lifetime warranty, and the autozone in my area is super reasonable.
