There is no "better", it all depends on how much you want to drop the car (1.5 inches) and what type of driving you'll be doing.

If you want a 1.5 inch drop, and its basically a street car, I would go with the Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...p?idproduct=82

You will need CC Plates when lowering. Lowering the car adds negative camber (tires leaning inward) which will cause inner tire wear. CC Plates solve that issue. Here is a link http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...?idproduct=478

If you still have the original shocks and struts in the car, that is another strong suggestion.

Default I also have a 96 GT

I have another thread on this forum as well and am in the process of getting all of the information possible. I've narrowed my search down to the FRPP "B" springs. I was originally thinking about the "C" springs but only wanted to stiffen the chassis up a little more than stock and lower it just a little bit too. I think the "B"s will bring it down roughly 1" all around. I wanted to keep this as low cost as possible so for now I wasn't planning on changing out the shocks or struts. Is is still possible to do this without having to get the caster camber plates? Thanks for any info.

Everything I've read, lots of it here, says lowering an inch or less is negligible and won't require CC plates.

To be safe, keep an eye on the inside of your tires.

i have the h&r supersport springs (2" drop) and i couldnt be more happy with the drop, i rarely scrape at all, sometimes my exhaust but nothing serious, i went with caster camber plates but i think i should have just went with the springs and checked the tires first because it was a very minor adjustment
