Default H&R sport springs

Hi,

I have a 2002 GT with 39k miles. I am very interested in the H&R sport springs and i'm kind of on a budget. Would i be able to lower my car with just the springs and a MM 4 bolt caster camber plate? I can't really afford to go into the shocks and strut route, but I do want an honest answer. Will not having upgraded shocks and struts effect my overall ride quality? I'm just hoping with the lower and c/c plates i get better handling and stock or better ride quality, lol.

Thanks!

-Chris

You are able to install springs without shocks. Your car will still roll down the road.

It is not suggested though....

Your handling will probably be the same if not worse (the spring rate must be dampened with proper working shocks, your current shocks are dead). The ride quality will be worse.

Thanks Josh in your e-mail you said it perfectly. I'll be going with the shocks and struts (http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...?idproduct=938) you suggested and the H&R sport springs; as well as the 4 bolt MM caster camber plates.

However I did have one more question. In the future if I ever wanted to upgrade to the Super Sport springs, would the set up i have with the shocks and struts / Caster camber plates be sufficient enough? Or would I have to add a couple more upgrades for that right setup? Thanks so much for your time and I can't wait till I order from you. You've been a GREAT help!! Thank You and I wish you a great Thanksgiving holiday!

The Super Sports have an increased spring rating, and a slightly lower drop. The Tokico HP's will dampen the H&R Springs just fine...

Sincerely,
