Default Supercharger Adaptive Calibration ?'s

Steeda Gus,

This question is in relation to the adaptive calibration that comes with 439-WKSTDA450A-KIT Whipple supercharger kit. What happens if someone changes gears or tire size? Is there an easy way to recalibrate for those issues or does the ECU have to be sent back to Steeda? If so what does a recal cost? Also is there an online installation guide available for the kit? I noticed it comes with a different heat exchanger than the FRPP Whipple, does it mount the same? Does it come with the GT500 dual fuel pumps or does Steeda use a different solution for fuel?

Thanks for your time,

Bruce

Hi Bruce. Right now there is no easy way of doing so. The ECU would have to be pulled and shipped back to us for recalibration if you already have our adaptive strategy. Only cost would be the shipping back and forth.

I don't have a guide online, our own heat exchanger will come with its own instructions and hook up is the same as Whipple's exchanger for the hoses. Our system does use GT500 twin pumps.

I also would like to throw out there that we have a limited supply left of Whipple kits we bought before Whipple's price increase. So our system is currently more cost effective than what the standard Whipple systems are priced at and you get our adaptive calibration and larger heat exchanger on top of that so it is a great value.

Most retailers are selling the standard Whipple intercooled kits for around 6800 to 6900. Our kit while supplies last will remain at the 6495.00 current price.
