He said he had just left the track in Montgomery where he was running 12 flats. I find that kinda hard to believe because he had regular street tires on.

Well the factory blower is fairly small and pretty maxed out already. You won't be making much power no matter how small of a pulley you run.

Besides, a roots blower running at its limit is about as efficient as a steam engine. Putting a turbo would see HUGE increases in hp without increases in psi.

what else did he have? I thought those things weighed as much as some small trucks.... but the performance shop I go through had 3 merauders (or however you spell it) running 11.5's so It's possible

Most Grand Prix GT's can slap a turbo on and hit consistant 12's. Many vendors sell kits for around $2,000-3,000 and BAM instant 12's. It's insane. I've done a ton of crap to my engine, and only hit mid 13's.

The Grand Prix GT engine = 3.8 V6... which is the same engine that was put in the V6 Camaro and Firebird. I seriously doubt the Grand Prix GT with JUST a turbo setup would go from a mid-high 15 second car to a 12 second car. There had to have been something else in that.

The GTP motor is a little bit more beefed up than the regular GT motor besides the fact that it's got a blower sittin on top.
