Actually it more like Z06=70k GT500=43k plus 15k to 20k markup.

In a year, a Z06 will still be $70K+. A GT500 will be sticker. But still, no comparison between the two.

Apples and oranges my friends. I'm just hoping Ford comes to its senses and offers a solid stripper version of the GT500 and decides to put the GR-1 into production. Badass though. Oh yeah, almost forgot.

In deed the Shelby is. This CAI generating 60+rwhp should not be a surprise to anyone. After all the Cobras have always been too easy to modify. Its a great car. Just thinkin about having those two cars in my garage means I would have 1000+HP on tap. It makes.. my heart beat faster just thinking about it....

The problem is that Saleen is not forthcoming with their existing tune. You have to start over. I'm in no hury to do that since the car is under warranty and has PLENTY to get my wife (she claims this car) in serious trouble.

Right now I'm working on a more agressive tune for my cobra and I'm still working out the suspension and tune for the 85 S/S car...I'd like to get to low 10s on motor then unleash the spray...then there's the old 66 Galaxie that I'm resto-modding...and helping my Dad (he's 72) with restoring his 66 F100... and Pinks! is at the track this weekend and work...and the grass needs mowing...and the garage we're building with the detached house....

I'll get to slight mods and tuning on the E eventually!

Yeah, it's not like BMW, Mercedes and a host of other companies don't make fat pig high horsepower cars... only Ford gets yelled at for it, the others don't, gotta wonder why. As for comparing the Vette in any form to any Mustang when they are marketed to different kinds of people makes no sense to me.

As fat and heavy as it is, I would take it in a heart beat.

+1. I will have one...when the dealer "market addendum" crap and craze is over. The 5.4 has so much potential and is very underrated by Ford. That "pig' will run 11s with little effort and cruise around with more style than the everybody-has-one-vette. I like the looks and the way it drives...for the MSRP price.
