Thanks Nomo....i was gettin ready to say, everybody says a 4.6 will take a 5.0, but, you cleared it up. '96-'98 were PIGS. do '99's weigh less, have more power, or both than '96-'98 ?? im thinkin about goin to the Ford dealership and seeing if theyll let me drive a newer GT. im hoping they will. maybe let me take it out on my own instead of "having" to have a passenger. i wanna see how much of a diff is between mine('92 GT) and a '99 up 4.6.

yeah the 96-98 were dogs. the 99+ had increased hp, dont think they weighed any less. its really a mystery to science if you ask me. it makes no sense how a 265hp 99+gt is no slower than a 96-98 cobra with 305hp

That is GMkillers car. The 5.0 would win lighter and more torque than the early 4.6's i believe
