Thanks Justin....I would also have to say the 5.0 would win...It has just as much horsepower..225 and more torque 300 WITH a lighter weight...So i think the 5.0 WOULD win...

The 4.6. I may have be an LS1 guy, but I have a 4.6 in my Tbird, so I'm not totally at a loss on Fords.

whichever has the manual transmission has the upper hand, but if the trannys are the same, the 4.6 is the underdog. Thats a tricky one though, so just race and leave us the results.

One of my friends has a 95 5.0 and another has a 97 4.6, both manual tranny, both about equal drivers and both completely stock down to the same size tires and close to tread wear. 5.0 smokes the 4.6 by about 3 lengths at 70 mph...no excuses, 5.0 wins.
