04 Cobra VS 98-02 Trans Am
Nice day out today, 50 degrees & decided it'd be a good idea to go for a ride. Took'er out and stopped at a couple places and decided to ride around town a bit. Merging into little traffic I ran into a 99-02 Trans Am (not WS6) and gave him a quick display of 2nd gear and got him to bite. We hit the next set of lights and he said he loved Cobra's and wanted to run but didn't want to get raped. I let him know my tires are completely bald and it'd probably be closer than he expected. We took off, he launched pretty hard and I kept at his front bumper, pretty much as sideways as you can get, got into second and did the same exact thing. He didn't pull an inch on me, got into 3rd and finally hooked and pulled away like he was standing still. We hit another light and he asked what the hell I was doing in 1st & 2nd gear. He thought I was trying to be a dick and just keeping pace with him! LOL We took off again and I didn't do any better in 1st or 2nd but once I hooked in third I left like a bat out of hell and he gave up.
Gave me a thumbs up as I turned off and I gave him a couple friendly beeps! Good runs, it sucks that a much slower car nearly got a kill because I had absolutely no traction.
Next Spring = BFG's.

my friend has an 02(?) trans am, he HAD 491 rwhp before he got it sent away to get bored and stroked to a 408, they also put on new heads and a 150 zex haze system on it. Its going to be absolutly rediculous.
