I was doing around40 mph last night whena late 80's or early 90's bright red 5.0 Fox body pulled up along side.It wasbeautifulwitha raised hood, and it had a great sounding exhaust. Idon't know what mods other than an exhaust were in it, butit appeared and sounded to be far from stock.
We both d/s into 2nd, and floored it. He immediately pulled a car or so on me, whenhe suddenlyslowed down. Missed a shift, hit the rev limiter? Whatever happened, it enabled me to close the gap back to even by the time Ishifted into 3rd. But now I started to pull on him, and I was ahead by a bumper at 90 mph when we shut down due to upcoming traffic.
It was by far themost intenserace I've had with the S197. And yes,I know that I would have lost if he had not slowed down.But like they say, "S..t happens".

i ran my buddys 87 fox wiht mods a few times on the interstate.. from a roll at 40 .. in second.. we hit it at the same exact time, and i took about at car and half on him at about 90.. that was when i was stock..

now it would be almost a walk, untill he gets his gears..

A fox body can have all sorts of mods. I strongly suspect that the one I raced had some serious ones.
