Forget it dude....there's ALWAYS gonna be someone faster. Shoot, I was all set to work my way up to 10psi and do some gears when I realized that nothing I do with this car on the street requires anything quicker than what I'm running. 99% of the cars that entice me into a run on the streets don't have a prayer as it is. Those who can take me out........deserve the win. And while I do plan to track my car sometime soon (hopefully), I have no ET goals for my ride whatsoever. It'll run the track, as is, street tires and all. Whatever it runs.......it runs. To hell with the rat racin.
Amen to that, let a street car be a street car, run well, reliable, and as fast as it happens to be.

13.20's with 2.25-2.30 60's, 40+ year old suspension sucks!
Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.
12.80 at 110.5mph NHRA DA corrected
I remember someone saying a while back that the new 5.3 GM is using in the 07 Impala SS and Grand Prix GXP was coded as the LS3. Now, I'm not saying I ever put much stock in that info or anything......as obviously its wrong. But does anyone know what relation or similarities (if any) the 5.3 has to the LSx engine family?

I don't think they correct times at the 1320 for that......

Thats true....There are many ppl on here with cars that I would wipe the floor with in stock form such as SRT4's,STI's and GT's. For instance WRXtransformed, bluebeast, and many Mustang owners as well modified their cars to take it to the next level and would put a beating on me....I have no problem with that, and would give anyone much props for building their car into a beast and destroying me.....If you want to play , you gotta pay$$. I've been thinking about modifying for a while, but this has just cemented it....I guess is all about keeping up with the times and trying to keep my car up with todays competetors.........

From what I understood the 5.3 has the cylinder management similar to the hemi's, The LSx class small block does not.......unless things have changed with the new LS3....

There has been a flurry of performance increases out of Detroit for the last 5 years or so, and it seems to be increasing. It's esentially impossible to keep up unless you buy a good base model, and put a blower or nitrous on it....but even then at this rate you're prolly only safe for about 5 years, maybe a little longer. How many years were between the Corvette being 350hp and 500hp....less than 10?

Sometimes I do feel that way, even though I have a 94GT and not stock but if it was I would considered myself the laughing stock for being S.L.O.W.
It is true that if you want to play you have to pay and as soon as you get the moddinh bug there is no stopping. At the same time, I do not want a newer stang (stock form) trying to run me and thinking he is going to win.

I guess I can't complain....the 04 ZO6 has 405bhp....and then 2 years later a 505bhp ZO6 comes out....
I try not to compare a ZO6 to a base Corvette....two different animals and if your paying $20K more it should be as so...

Thanks for feeling my pain man....Oh well, it's something I have to live with......We are truly once again in round two of the horsepower wars...(first round was during the mid 60's through the early 70's) just in case the younger crowd did'nt know...lol
