RE: Future pony cars.......official discussion
Traditionally smaller motors, and to be honest the Mustang appeals to the widest range of people: The V6 vert.to the currentGT500 and everthing in between. It is "America's Pony Car", and reallya lot of people buying a Mustang are not concerned with maxium performance.(Not you and me, but most buyers)

SOrry to throw out useless information, but I think this would be nice...
keep the 3V GT for about 26K with NO options.... (edit* meaning 26K for the car with NO options.. not that they arent available.. lol*)
bring back the 32V S/C 4.6 as a returning Mach 1/Bullit/ Boss model
and let the rich bastards keep paying 50-70K for Shelby specialties

why do you guys think the stang does always have the least hp?

If I'm wrong about Ford's use of the GT model..........the GT's sales will suffer greatly in the face of the new competition. Otherwise, the GT's will continue to sell extremely well despite being the lowest powered V8 pony on the market. You dudes have to understand, the greatest majority of Mustang buyers buy it because its a Mustang. The same reason that so many guys buy Corvettes. The name and image itself is what sells the cars............regardless of the car's performance. Only a small percentage of ppl who take an interest in these cars are actually interested in their overall competitive edge............which is why the V6's models always outsell the V8's.[X(]

I think a middle tier V8 Mustang is needed.........that goes without saying. At least one man out there, understands this need..............too bad his name+ limited edition run = way too expensive:

I dont konw.. I'd just like to see the Terminator motor come out in 100% identical form in another car.. for right around 35K...
3700 pounds + 6 sp + Solid Rear ...... Sounds like a nice 2-3 year run for a Mach/Boss run if you ask me ;-)
