The Terminator is liberally underrated from Ford, the engine alone has been known to produce around 415-420 crank horsepower with all power accessories, cats/mufflers. MM&FF called John Coletti about when they dynoed an '03, with a chuckle he said the IRS is INCREDIBLY efficient lol

Not a surprise though, a Ford GT engine makes 635 crank hp with all power accessories.

EDIT: Doodad beat me to it, but C6 Vette...you gots to understand mang. EJS has gotten the thing to run 12.4xxs on street tires, and I have seen stock Termies run 12.8s and 12.9s on a cold day at my loval track, which still means 4,000ft/+ elevation.
Elevation has much less effect on blown motors than N/A ones.....Furthermore, I take Evan Smiths numbers with a grain of salt....He also got a stock F-body to run a 12.9 (I hear ppl on here saying they have never seen it and call BS anytime someone tries to say a F-body has gone 12's)....A 12.4 is not a low 12....Also I would like to point out that I have never seen a stock Terminater run better than a 12.9 at Sacramento Raceway which is at sea level by the way...

EDIT- I remember reading that Doodad took his snake to a 12.7 in stock form....He's also gotten a stock S197 to a 13.4.....He's a phenominal driver,but a 12.7 is'nt close to a 12.4.
GT500 is 300lbs heavier and has 75-80rwhp more than the SVT....EJS has ran the GT500 which has a solid axle to a 12.2, but has ran 12.4 in a car with 75-80whp less,300lbs lighter with IRS only .2 slower?

Off subject but,
C6 Vette, do you ever go race at Sac Raceway? I might go on the 22nd.

Stock Terminator 390/395? Either the dyno was reading crank horspower which I don't think is possible unless you pull the engine out or there was something done to it (Tune maybe?). With a tune, I could see the terminator keeping up from a roll but without it, I just don't think so. I would of assumed the GT would pull a bit. Then again, anything can happen on the street.

Either way, nice race. Sounds like you've got the driver mod!
i dynoed 370rwhp bone stock on mustang dyno which reads 12% less than dynoject (normally) i have seen stock cobras put doown 393rwhp.

but most stock cobras puts down around 370-380rwhp avarage and that is 425+hp at the crank.

ONCE AGAIN, 03/04 COBRAS ARE WAYYY UNDER RATED. IN REALITY THEY ARE OVER 400HP AT THE CRANK!

i was just going to reference your car and the numbers you put down. proof that these cars are underrated.

didn't someone else on here pull like 407 bone stock?

I didn't know they were that underrated.. Maybe 390/395 is realistic. If so, WOW! What are most terminator's trapping stock? With 390/395, I'd say trap speed should be around 114-116.

shop dynoed my car and told me that my car put down some healhy numbers 370rwhp. and i said isn't that normal numbers for cobras? he said on dynoject yeah but not on mustang dyno. and i asked so what would the car putdown on dynoject then and they said it would be around 407rwhp.
and i posted here about it.

but after i talked to a few VERY GOOD tuners, they said mustang dyno can be made read just like dynojet and then they looked at my dynosheet and they said it is nothing different than any other stock cobras. so 407 was complete BS.

370ish on a Mustang dyno would put you anywhere from 455-485hp at the crank. That doesn't sound right, not for a bone stock Terminator. I fully believe they are underrated, but there can't be that much variation in stock rwhp numbers. What kind of weather did you dyno in?

i DO NOT believe in Mustang Dyno anymore after talking very respectable and knowledgeable tuners, drag racers. this is what they said,

"A MUSTANG DYNO CAN BE MADE TO REAR JUST LIKE DYNOJET"

thats why i put (normally) after that. sometimes they do read lower than dynjoet but they can be adjusted.

my car dynojet the same thing on dynojet. so go figure!

On the same dyno, buddies dynoed their cars and they had identical results compare to dynojet.

again, a stock cobra is an easy 420+HP car.

In the past I didn't believe it either, but after seeing Doodad's videos and dyno sheets. I've changed my thinking about Cobras. Doodad has always backed up everything he's said. I respect that.

This is a very interesting subject. There are a lot of guys on here that live and die by their dyno numbers. It seems like the favorite thing to say is I made XXXrwhp on the mustang dyno so that's easily XXX on a dyno jet. I've seen people with the same mods as me that claim to be making the same hp on a mustang dyno as I did on a dyno jet. Then they credit themselves with an extra 15hp. Not that it really matters because it's all the same on the road but it's just retarded.
