Where is this at?

usually a "good" dyno tune will yield 10RWHP on the dynojet for a 4.0L.... they shop I hang out around tuned a CAI/catback 4.0L and got it to mustaer just around 200RWHP @ 225lbs tq on the drums
plus the tune gets rid of ALOT on the new stangs.. IE electronic TB lag etc. etc.

meh.. i dunno.. even if he was a bad driver, that's still a 13 second car, easy mid 14 with a crappy driver. how much power did you actually get from that tune?

Yea, but you're supercharged, thats cheating. GMC Syclone, 360lbft from a 4.3L, 83.7lbft / liter. Oh and the Buick GNX, 360lbft from a 3.8L, 94.7lbft / liter.
I guess GM is good at producing motors with very good levels of torque monstrosity.

my gtp is the tourque monster of all tourque monsters......280 ft pounds Nothing has more, NOTHING

for the people with questions about the mods he has, a good cai/tune can yield about 20rwhp and about the same torque sometimes more. An axle-back exhaust yields about 7-8rwhp with duals doing about the same. with his mods people usually see about 200rwhp/225rwtq ish. Some see up to 210rwhp/240rwtq. Depends on the condtitions and who does the tune and if it is a manual or auto. The person that originally made the torque monster thing up was wolfey and personally, i thought he was an idiot a loooooonng time ago. I can beleive the race though because with this guys mods mid 14's have been done and with a bad launch a z can run a mid 14 pretty easily and if it only goes up to 80, the 4.0 will have less of a disadvantage. Good kill, but all 4.0 owners should know if the z had a good driver it would have won.

you realize those are both turbo cars right? lol.

To add to my earlier post, the Jaguar XJ200 made 473lbft of torque from a 3.5L twin turbo sixxer, 135lbft / liter. Of coarse all that power comes at a price and that price is some of the worst turbo-lag ever.

didn't that come from a story about a guy racing a z too?
didn't that come from a story about a guy racing a z too?
But unlike him, I'm not going to trash the 350Z because one guy, one time failed to launch it properly.
If you guys think a bad launch makes the Z a mid 14 second car, then thisracewas fairlyaccurate-- because my car is a mid 14 second car. 14.6, to be exact.
VMP's tune, intake, and a single GT take-off muffler were dyno-proven toshow 205hp and 243 ft-lbs of torque, at the wheels.
See proof: https://mustangforums.com/m_3231444/tm.htm
And to Whipplepower-- why a thumbs down to my duals without a crosspipe?

Yeah, that was Wolfey2K who created the now infamous "torque monster" name, against a 350Z too.
