I was thinking more along the lines of a 05+ V6. 
But seriously, I've always liked the 350Z, I even considered getting one before my Mustang. In my opinion, its one of the only proper sports cars that comes out of Japan.

its like me saying Viper SRT-10 > mustang gt > 350z > rx-8
that thing is so theoretically overplayed its annoying... mind you that isnt even a good compairison because the skyline is far more rare then the srt-10

Those two cars have pretty much identical trap speeds, yet the one with the slower 60 ft (by nearly 2 tenths, a lot for the first 60 feet) ran the faster ET. Kinda odd.

I think we will see the 350 hit even better times, they are running what..a bit over 300hp correct? And they just about or probably weigh less thana Mustang. If a stock04 Mach1 can hit low 13s than these new Zs should have no problem hitting the same number, all depends on the driver.

I don't necessarily like them, but that is not to say that if I had the oppurtunity to drive one for awhile, that I would even consider passing it up.
In a sense, they are the closest thing to a Japanese Mustang there is,,, since we all know the RX-8 is too much of a sports car, not to mention the lack of power.
But yea, considering how much better that 60' is on the better time, I'm surprised it's that close.
