People race newer mustangs because the 95-97 were slower than molasses on a cold day, and they arn't expecting much.
Get a few lightly modded civics to beat a few automatic 96 GTs with terrible drivers and you get a rep...

Buschur is an icon in this area. I've driven by their shop before and there are always 6 or 7 Mitsus sitting outside. They have a black Evo that is incredibly fast. I saw it run 9.20's @ ~ 163mph at Norwalk. I talked to one of their guys a bit and he said that it was a bit off that night, they were used to high 8's.[8D]

well you guys all hate the ricers as i do to but some people cant afford a mustang or i just got lucky in my case. When your 16 n just got your license you want anything that stands out. Now that i have a mustang i laugh at them people but then i remember i could of been them. I do get the idea why try to be fast when your not but what can you do.
