Played with Friends 2008 C6 - GOD DAMN!!!!
My buddy just took delivery of his '08 C6.He paid $42,500.00,got the auto, (6 speed auto now), but this thing is INSANE!!!For the hell of it,we lined up (me in my '05 GT) and went fromstop. To say it lightly, I couldn't even keep up. That thing took off like a Raped Ape, with almost NO tire spin as if on Slicks! Completely sick![sm=badbadbad.gif][/align][/align]I've lost to every LS1, so Iknew it would be a ridiculous challenge, but whatever... I've seen 911 Turbo's take off too, and seriously I think his car would run as well as a Super Car. Anyone run into one of the '08 Vette's yet or have any quarter mile times?[/align]

I ran into a C6 about 2 weeks ago. From a light he jumped a car or so on my till i caught traction . I had a car/car in a half when i shifted to 4th then shut it down. The guy was a real cool guy, said if he knew i had a bottle he wouldnt have raced me, lol

08s have the LS3 correct?? If that is true rumor is they are putting down 380+ RWHP and run low 12s at mid teens in the 1/4 now (thats MFG claims if I am correct)... (Think OLD Z06....).. should be able to pull a high 11 with air and traction. Pretty impressive.

08's come with the LS3 and are the fastest automatic Corvettes ever. IIRC 0-60 in low 4's and the quarter in mid-low 12's. Someone correct me on that if I'm wrong, I'm trying to remember the R/T article.

Sounds like you got beat pretty bad. ... All I can say is keep modding, and hope when you run into your next one it'll be enough. Lol.
... But I keep hearing nothing but good things about how the power output of the new LS3. One thing you can always expect out of a Chevy is performance. That's the area they don't disappoint in.

The only thing I don't like about the new chevys is how they just throw the SS logo on everything. The Monte Carlo SS, cobalt SS, and even the once legendary Impala SS are a joke, they don't really perform all that well and don't deserve the SS logo. The blue devil or SS vette or whatever they call it certainly won't be a disappointment.

The new 08's are something else!!....It should be a solid .3 with a 3mph highertrap speed over the LS2 C6....Allthough the margin is'nt wide enough for me to run to my local Chevy dealer for a trade in on my C6...It is a step in the right direction to keep the base Vette competetive.
