The cobra wont have over 400rwhp with just a K&N, the vette will when pretty easy. With sticky tires and a cold night Im sure the ls3 could hit high 11s easy.
ohhhhh yes it will. during a dyno day an 03 cobra dyno'd 400RWHP with just catback, they put in a K&N filter for the second run and it dyno'd at 425RWHP.
wow that must have been a fluke?
the termy, quite often dyno'd over 400rwhp stock from what i know. ford just under rated it, prolly for insurance reasons. im sure 400hp back then was a barrier if crossed would increase insurance a decent amount

400hp from a stock cobra, it has happened. I believe it's what you could call a "factory abnormality" which ultimately resulted in some monster cobras. I'm pretty sure that all the termi blocks were hand assembled and therefore there was some room for tweaking by the SVT guys. Not all made that much, but a good few happened to bust out way more hp than was advertised.

you can say what you want. i was there, and Acer from this forums as also there during the dyno day. 400RWHP with just catback, 425RWHP after dropping in a K&N. believe whatever you want though.

if they told you it was stock and put down 400rwhp, either they lied to you or the dyno lied to them..... or it was bone stock with a dyno tune, stock terminators usually put down 365-375....but ive herd rumors of some comming close to 390rwhp area....

I would put money on a stock ls3 with stickys running a high 11. Hell the 02 z06 m6ran an 11.8. That is of course with a perfect driver. But 30 more hp and a faster shifting 6 speed auto. It will happen. I bet a m6 ls3 will hit 11.6s once again with aperfect driver and weather.

I was just about to type how c5 Zs have done 11s with a good driver and some sticky tires, and from what im hearing the ls3 vettes are supposed to be just a tad faster, so 11s definitly arent out of the picture

and to the OP The vette should take this race...C6s are not slow cars

So what does one make with just a fitler, no cold air extras on a bone stock motor. Your gonna see more of a gain after adding mods. Hell build a head and camlsx with a stock lid. Make 450rwhp, then put on a blackwing and gain 30 more rw. Yournot going to see that on a normal carI know that is a little dramatic but this is off topic anyway.............Vette will own this race!

now that i sit back and think about it Doodad (who posts here pretty often i think dynoed real close to 390hp stock in his 03 cobra, now lets say his cat back gave him 10hp (which is alot of just a cat back, more likely if he had an OR set up). and they added the k&n got about 15 hp then gave it a good tune and ended up with 425 hp....so i geuss its possible, just unlikely

nope, sorry, it was stock except for the catback and put down 400RWHP. the dyno was fine as everyone else's numbers were right on. they checked to make sure he didn't have a chip or something after the 425RWHP from just the filter. filter + catback = 425RWHP. that doesn't mean every cobra will do that, but that's what his did. he had the entire group crowded around after that run.
