Default RE: Fastest Stock 350z 1/4 time.

So far so good. I have not had any problems out of the car. It runs great. I just need to learn how to drive it now, LOL.

I was glad that night to see a Magnum SRT-8 run a 13.3 and I ran 13.1 spinning tires through 1st and 2nd. If I can get the car to hook and drive it well, I believe the car has at least a 12.6 in it.

YOU were the who wanted to compare 5.0 to 350z so here we go.
Sorry if you missed the point here but this entire argument from your side is like you standing up in a room full of people and calling someone's wife fat and ugly when the women you are sitting with is much worse.

You have NO room to look down on a 350Z considering what you drive. EOP.

I agree. I think in a straight line, you might take him. When it comes to an race course, forget about it.

Thinking back through history (and Ive done my homework) the only bone stock foxbodys to run anything better than a 14 had 'tweaks' done (pull air filters, sway bars removed, etc)... show room stock there is ZERO proof of a 13 second foxbody. Enough 07 350Zs have cracked 13.4~13.6 to EMBARASS any bone stock 5.0 you could get your hands on. You might be a better driver but that doesn't prove anything regarding the cars themselves. If I toss peak350 the keys to the 350Z and put you in a bone stock 5.0 you are going to get raped on a 1/4 track and a real race track. Nothing you can do about it.

I think he said he was not stock though. If I recall, he said his car could run a 12.7 or something. I could just be having a delusional morning and don't know what I am talking about.

When are you heading to Chicago again S8?

I am one to highly doubt that 8.33-8.43 claim he is making.

He's not really had the car that long, and doesn't even seem like the kind of kid who would bother going to the track. In his same reply, he also mentioned killing dozens of 05+ Stangs, C6 non Z06 Vettes, and other randomly assorted cars.

The fact that he's claiming to kill a mid 12 second performer on that list is just more evidence that he's pulling crap out of his butt as well, but oh well, nothing you can do to prove him other wise.

As for Valcore, yes, he's fast, but he's got alot of money tied into the car. Arguing STOCK vs MODIFIED is like arguing WNBA vs NBA... in all reality, it just is not a fair argument at all.

He's not stock.. but he is bagging on the performance of a stock car..so you have to keep it equal. Otherwise plenty of modded 350zs are out there bringing more than a 12.7 to the plate.

Chicago may be a bit...Cordova rental is November 3rd here and the chiacgo peeps are comming out my way.

I [sm=icon_rofl.gif]at this thread. Just let it die. Everybody has their own opinions and e-arguing isn't going to accomplish anything.

thats awesome man. im sure given some time you will be dusting plenty of cars at MIR

i went toan 1/8th a week or so ago (down in va) managed to do a 9.6... which isnt that amazing, but im working on the launch and doing a bit better. my friend in his Z managed to pull off a 9.0. and my other friend in his GSX (just got it and is learning) got a 10.0. nothing to amazing for any of us, but it was fun, so thats what counts.

if your planning on going to MIR sometime let me know. the season is basically over, but next spring i plan on getting some slicks and having more fun.

I agree. This guy said he has not been to the track very much at all, I think this was the first time. He has no had the car that long. Claiming his stock 13.2 run can beat cars that can run mid 12's with an average driver is total crap. Either they were not racing or he is full of it. This thread can die. We only hate on people trying to make their car faster then what it really is.

PS~ keeping that in mind, since the guy that ran 13.2 has not been to the track a whole lot, I hope he knows that the computers there are not always accurate. I also noticed on a different thread, he posted it was like 67 degree weather that he ran the 13.2 In this thread he mentioned it was what, 55 or something right? Hot weather would make a whole hell of a lot of frickin difference.
