Default 440 (rw) hp 07 gt vs 350 (crank) hp 07 STi?

Hey you guys, I've got an 07 shelby gt/sc with a novi 1200 (intercooled) 3.55s 5 speed makin about 440 to the wheels (other guys have made 440-460 wih the same set up with stock tune). I met a guy whose cool and all and runs an 07 STi with 18lbs boost, after market exhaust and he says hes makin 350 to the crank. he wants to go from a 60 roll, what do you guys think? he must be hiding something...?

I'd be veeery careful there. Sounds like he might have something up his sleeve. If his power estimates are on the money............you've got that one, no sweat. As long as you can actually drive.....that is.

18psi â‰* 280whp. I'm not saying you won't still walk all over him, but you have to wonder why he wants to go from a roll in a straight line...the absolute weakest performance arena of his car.

perhaps he doesnt want to break something? keep in mind, that with a turbo car, from a roll, a good driver can have the car at the ideal point in the powerband, and he wont need to wait for it to spool...

Valid points. Everyone knows spool-up is a myth of stone-age technology though[8D]. But seriously, unless he's got a watermelon under the hood, spool is just a matter of having enough rpms like you said.

BTW, congrats on the GT/SC. Did you have the s/c custom installed........or was it a Shelby offered option?

He has a Shelby GT/SC.......not C/S. As I understand Shelby offered a supercharger option on their GT's, but only a handful ever had them installed. They get the GT/SC stripe on the rocker panels to denote it as a Shelby GT supercharged.
