Legacy GT vs 2007 350Z

Well there are degrees of rice, but anything not designed by an American company is rice to me. I just found it funny that one Japanese car owner was calling another japanese car owner a ricer.

oh i completely agree about the Z looking alot better. i personally dont like the look of my car but i bought it because it was the only practical car that was fast. with that being said i think the Z is ricer sounding, but still a very nice car nevertheless and id probably rather be driving an 07 than my legacy right now.
i think we all have our own definitions of ricer. i personally think modding the hell out of the exterior is ricey. most cars should be left alone, maybe rims at most. u wont find carbon fiber products or a huge spoiler or neon lights on a legacy i can assure u that.
and again, the STI is another story

i like your defenition of ricer but i respectfully disagree on some statements. I dont think the 350z exhaust note is ricey at all. I think they are very sporty looking and a lot better looking than urs. Having said that i do think ur car is a perfect sleeper though.

ok lets get to the bottom of this. why the Z was a ricer and im not:
350Z: sounds ricey, often "riced out looking", and driver annoying revved at me
legacy gt: NOT RICER, doesnt have even the slightest hint of that ricer sound, best crash test rating u can get therefore a common family car, insurance is as cheap as a camry, comes in a freakin wagon, i own a USDM not a JDM, my car was made in Indiana, when u see my car u dont think "ricer" and actually u dont think of it as a fast car or a performance car
now the STI, thats another story

maybe cuz the z is an import, wait legacy are imports too. so does that mean both are ricers?

You're a ricer!
Sorry, i'm just not sure why you're calling him a ricer. What makes him a ricer and you not?

Meh, some of the worst aftermarket exhausts I've ever heard have been on 350Zs (there's one in nanaki's neighborhood that sounds awful), but maybe it's just because people here put fart cannons on them... *shrug* I haven't had the chance to hear a "good" 350Z exhaust.

Well right now I just have the stockers, and even stock I still like the sound. I have never heard a bad 350 exhaust, but then again I haven't seen a lot of modded 350s in real life to be honest with you.

My Z w/ Jim Wolf Pop-Charger and NISMO exhaust sounded badass. The most exotic sounding non-exotic car I've ever heard. I have heard some 'questionable' exhausts on them though.

There is no way your gonna convince me that a Z is more ricer sounding than a Subaru. I love Subaru, and the boxer sound, but it's still a 4 and the note is better, but not great. I have a Z and my buddy has a WRX, and before that a tricked out impreza with exhaust and stuff, and have heard many different subie exhausts, and although they're better than Honda/Mitsu they by no means beat a Z's sound.
