Default RE: Goodbye to the Terminator

My coworker has a 2006 Fusion with the V6. It's got some oomph to it, and handles pretty nicely. Rides extremely well too, and even though he drives it hard, it still gets way over 20mpg combined.
It's a great car, and based off of the Mazda 6 IIRC.

You'll be back though! I went from a C5 LS1 Vette to a CTS when we had our first child and bought our house, and then we got an EB Explorer once our second child came around and we needed some room to haul stuff in. So, it was a downward spiral on the car front for a while. Now, I have my 2007 S/C Mustang GT. So, things work out eventually! And I've started the Viper fund so in < 3 years when the Mustang is paid off I can have a new toy and keep the Mustang as my DD.

Things work out if you plan for the long term. At least we can say we've had fun in our cars, some people go through life never getting to experience the same sort of grins we do in the cockpit!

It's been a while since I've posted on here, but was looking at this old thread.... I finally got my SVT back... after a brief stint with a Mach 1, G8 and a 2012 5.0.....

Good 4 you! It'll be interesting as hell to see how many people that replied to this thread 7 years ago are still around to hit it up again.

Don't think most of them are around anymore. I was going through and saw a bunch of people who used to post in here regularly.

Also, congrats on the new ride OP.

Sounds like the "I don't need to go fast anymore" wore off pretty quickly

I was new here when you created this thread... I was probably still in s197 tech asking what was the best CAI and what oil to use.
