Just about everyone I know has first time out horror stories. Those times will get better quick. just takes practice.

yet another reason automatic > manual
if you had a tunedA4 with the same setup you would be doing low-mid 12's very consistantly... just pedaling it is all you would have to worry about

not that the last gear in that A5 makes any difference... OD is about as potent as an 85 year olds sex drive [8D]

Very true. I figured you've been on the GTO forums alittle too much and forgot where you were when you posted, LOL. Ohwell, we all know what you mean.

the GTO forums are full ofholier than thouLSX humpers that bash anything that doesn't have the powerplant in it.... they even go as far as to bash F-Bodies... that got old after like an hour
it doesn't matter if I buy a freaking aston martin... pretty sure this is the only place I will ever be

You havea low 12 second car looking for traction. If your car is pre-May 2005 production Greg Weld has the 15" Series 92 Dragstar and 93 Prolite available for at a very attractive price. They wont fitlate-May 2005 on production due to larger calipers. They are supposed to be redesigning the wheels to fix this.Summit has these wheels. I believe you will also have to change/relocate the endlinks on the rear swaybar. I believe you can get these pieces from BMR.
If your are going to change at the track just get 28" MT ET Drag Slicks. If you need to drive on them get MT ET Street Radials in a 28" height.
If you want 17's to fit stock 17" wheels M&H has a nice 28" Drag Radial available in a 8.8" tread width that works well on the stock 17x8. They have cut 1.47's on some Supercharged S197's (with 10 second horsepower).

Ok with every talking about the traction control i have a question. I have a 2004 40 ann. GT. And it does not have traction control. I thought the all came with it. I have alot of friends with stangs and the all have TC. I've never heard of one besides mine not having it.Every stang 99+ i've seen has it.Is this just a rare occasion or what?
