Default 4.0 Mustang vs. 3.5 Nissan Maxima

4.0 Mustang vs. 3.5 Nissan Maxima

My co-worker owns a 2006 Nissan Maxima SE and I was wondering how the 4.0 mustangs would match up?? Straight away race, no curves.....

What are your thoughts?

The 2006[/b] Nissan Maxima[/b] is a luxury mid-size sedan that aims to be sportier and more upscale than it's closely related Altima sibling. It offers two trims, both powered by a very responsive and powerful 3.5-liter, 265-hp[/b] V6 engine.

Yeah those maxima's are pretty fast! The Japenese just know how to make a more sophisticated V6 with better gas mileage and more hp.

Without gears/tune you will lose. With... it will be close. The Maxima's are no slouch, and without some sort of performance parts, and the 20"s he will get you (unless he doesn't know how to drive)

Yeah, that's what I assumed.

I just wanted to hear what others had to say.....

Appreciate everyone's honest feedback!

If those Maximas are anything like a G35 (Which I assume are pretty close considering they are in the same family) Dont even bother trying it LOL they accel like no ones business and keep a pretty good top end speed.

Go race a Civic instead LOL

I really doubt anyone in a Maxima would ever want/should race. Plus, a tuned V6 with a few bolt ons should be able to take it on. Plus we're about 300lbs lighter. I know I can dust them (G35s and Maximas) with my 3.73s and Race tune.

They weigh within 100 lbs of each from the data i looked at, so a tenth slower for the maxima maybe....not much

Somehow I still doubt that Addy but, I have yet to experience 3.73s much less the legendary Race tune LOL so IDK about it. When I get the race tune, Ima take on mamas G35 and see what the result is LMAO!
