To be honest your car isn't that modded, get some LTs, and a high performance ignition box and little stuff like that and watch the gap between you guys grow even larger with every mod.
what are lt's?? what ignition box is good? my friend tried afew differant ones and didnt really notice much

long tube headers, after market intake, 70mm throttle body, 70mm EGR spacer, cold air intake, underdrive pullies.

that right there will get you to 230hp easy.

good way to start, and when you have the money to do heads, cam, then you will already have the intake and exhaust taken care of.

good luck.

Basically what he said except I'd go ahead and do the entire exhaust not just the headers.

^^^^I don't know where you get your info, but GSRs were rated at 170hp @ 7600rpms and 128tq @ 6200rpms, the teg type R was rated at 195 hp @ 8000rpmsand 130 tq @ 7500 rpms. If the GSR motor was stock even in a stripped hatch you should have got the jump and stayed ahead from a dig. From a roll a lightweight car withhigh revving honda motor might have put upmore of a fight.

that's where i got my info from, also i didn't mean 230tq obviously, i meant 130tq

kinda makes me wanna not drive my mustang anymore though
Why? You have a bone stock carbed 5.0, not exactly the speed demon. Just think about it this way, he dropped probably over 2 grand to swap a motor in so he can HANG with you
