Default Supercharged/Turbocharged WRX.

So I was downtown yesterday and came across this WRX a few times, he asked me if I was looking for a race, I said why not, lets go to the highway and do a couple rolls and a dig. First we pulled over to check out each others ride, He has a Supercharged/Turbocharged WRX STI on race fuel. I have a Whipple S197 on 10psi.So we slow down to about 20mph and three honks and gone. I jumped about a half car right away, and by the time we were going 130mph I had about one to one and a half cars on him.
We also raced a few times from a dig. First time he outlaunched me I spun all over first, second time I actually outlaunched him and put 2-3 cars on him by 70mph. This is a picture of what his set-up looks like, he told me not to post videos or pics of his car for obvious reasons.

It utilizes a Electromagnetic clutch driven AMG T/S supercharger and a GT35R And Race fuel.
The supercharger will turn on when he pleases, so when he races it will bring boost up to 15lbs and at I think he said 4000rpms a by-pass valve will close and the Turbo will stop feeding into the supercharger and start only feeding the engine. He said his Turbo was running 20 something psi. He mentioned 457awhp.

It was amazing how close we were.
I pulled on him soo little. We were so even, but I had a slight edge.

Well I dynoed the car at 404/440 but my second fuel pump was not turning on.
Based on other people running the same kit as me I should make around 475rwhp that is my guess. I also have 18x10 Rears with 275 KDW2, which does help. And I know how to drive my car which helps more.

Nice kill... Is their any point to adding the S/c to that setup??(and yes i read the paragraph under the Pic) why not just turn up the Boost? Im too lazy to search and read about that setup.

But Say That car Race the Same car minus the S/C with the Boost a lil higher?

The reason they make the kit with the S/C is so that there is no lag. Its like having the instant boost benefit of the supercharger and the high boost benefit of the turbo!

You are right though if that car raced a car with just the turbo and higher boost the higher boost car would most likely win, because he has higher boost! But the supercharger is for off the line mayhem.
