That's great and all, but in my opinion you cant beat the massive amount of torque that a V8 has. In addition, you can pick up a 13sec mustang for 3-4000. How much do you have to spend to make a 4cyl get down to that time?
Really depending on what you want, you could do it on the cheap. If you don't mind buying an older car, or even just an older shell to a car, then it can be done cheap. I've seen mid 90s shells for integras, civics, and CRXs go for 400-1200 bucks. Pick up one of those and a b18b motor for around 800 and put together your own turbo kit at around 1.5k. All together around 3k to 3.8k. If everything else was left pretty stock and which shell was used, you would be around mid 13's to high 12's and be at around 200 whp (that's what I had at the wheels after just the turbo kit @ 10psi) after I went to a 3 inch exhaut from the DP back I picked up 45 whp.

Cuz everyone knows it's easy to profile when you have tint. (rolls eyes)

i've never understood people bragging about a 30 pounds boost 1.6 liter that only makes power from 7800-8400 and about 200 ft.-torque. sure, it makes 450 peak hp. but even at 2500 pounds, it only runs mid 13's at best.

just doesn't impress me.

My buddies LS/Vtec turbo made 378 whp and 300wtq (IIRC on torque) on wastegate spring pressure of 11psi and ran an 11.7 first time to the track on that set up. Also, the power was made from 4.2k rpms to 8.2k. Car is capable of 9-9.2k rpms or there about. Not to be a dick, but it sounds like you don't know very much about imports, or 4 cylinder turbo cars in general.

I want to get a B18c and drop it into a bubble for my next DD. It should move pretty good for a n/a 4 banger and still get good milage. The only thing that kills me about my Si is how damn heavy it is.

i see that your talkin about a 4 cyl. turbo car when i have a buddy that had an 03 cobra and all he done to was changed the pulley on the charger and ran an 11.2 you might as well say stock i could put an 8 lb. boost turbo on my car and have over 450 whp

I'm not exactly sure I know what your talking about or getting at but How is 450whp out of a blown V8 more impressive than getting it out of a 4 cylinder? The GTO owner could say he can make that power NA with some cams and an exhaust (correct me if I'm wrong). Not trying to take away anything from the cobra or anything, I'm just saying. It's all relitive I guess.
