Default back to strip at 22 lbs boost

First time back to strip at 22 lbs (previous was 20) and alcohol injection system. Car only made 3 full race passes, before plugs gave out (didn't look too good before racing). Slips show two back to back passes (#289)

Very nice. Definitely got some 9's in it with that kind of trap. Street driver?

With the alcohol injection, I could see that being a pump gas, streetable setup.

Awesome times, but I bet it was frusterating to be knocking on the single digits door like that without getting it.

It has limited street use. I live half a mile from work. Drive it there sometimes and to local car shows. Full spool and cage make for an awkward drive. Parallel parking is impossible. But it has electronic overdrive, so can go highway speeds without burning up transmission. It's set up for bracket racing with transbrake, 2step, and delay box.

It just had its first full racetune with alcohol inj sys and went to the track for datalogging. The 100% methanol dropped IATs 150 degrees. Tuners are sponsoring car in a big event next month, so we'll be sorting out a few glitches.

We only got to 21 degrees of timing before fouled plugs ended evening. Plan is to go up to 30 degrees but stay at 22 lbs boost. Don't think intake manifold will take anymore boost. Lance (strip driver) won't have race license or chassis cert by then, so have to keep it in the 10s for the event.

Some vid from saturday
