1 second win = how many car lengths?
Assuming you had a 14.0 second car and a 15.0 second car running the quarter and both cars got perfect jumps, how many car lengths ahead would the 14.0 second car be at finish?
My best estimate was roughly 7-9 car lengths. at 90mph, that equals 132 feet per second. 132 ft divided by a car length... does that sound reasonable?

That might not be right because after the 14 second car crosses the line, the 15 second car won't be traveling at 90mph for the entire last second. It will still be accelerating, it just crossed the line at 90mph.

According to that site 1 second is 22 feet... Which is What 2 car lengths?
I lost to a 99 Cobra last time i went to the Track by .8 Screwed up my Launch and was catching him at finish. I was probably a little over Half a car behind to a full car behind.
