Default 07 4.0 Mustang VS. 07 Tiburon

There's this guy (I assume around my age) that goes to my college and he drives an 07-08 Tiburon (not sure if its GT, manual, or any of that stuff, I haven't looked close enough).

I should have him pretty easily right? From the stats I looked up the Tiburon's there about a second or more slower in the quarter and a second slower to 60... I was thinking about asking if he wanted to go out on some country roads and have a little race.

If its a GT, 6spd, and he can drive better than you he will have a good chance. Equal drivers you will win though. Even if your auto id still bet on you

I wouldn't say you have it easy, but you should have it.

I've never actually raced but according to my dyno numbers. I should run 8s on street tires.

Well I definitely don't consider myself a bad driver so it should be good! I'll be sure to take out the cell phone camera if I do race!

I'd hope that model year Mustang could still pull out a win. The tibby only has 172 crank HP. It's fairly light at 2995 pounds but damn. It's a mid 16 second car.

Depends on the trans and driver. Mid 16 is right on par for an auto, but manuals are at least half a second quicker normally. Id still bet on the mustang though, especially from a dig.

You got him. When tiburons try and screw with me on the street I pull away from them easy, like S197 gt's do to our cars easy. You will probably put 5 cars on him if he's stock from a roll, more from a dig. If he's modded it will be closer, but I don't see it being really close unless you suck at driving.
