i have a completely stock 89 mustang...the only things done are x pipe and flows. A punk at school has a 2001-2004 (somewhere idk which one for sure) GT. Been talking trash for months....finally gonna race. do yall think that i will win? his is completely stock as well. And would it be smart for me to remove spare tire and all junk from my car first?

just curious..because the outcome is going to be spread around school like wildfire monday because so much trash is talked between us.

so what do yall think?

yes..both 5 speed manuals

hes got more horsepower and slightly more torque if you both are completely stock.

But yours being a fox should be lighter.

I'd say it's a drivers race.

Gut out any extra weight, run him with only 1/2 1/4 tank of gas, every bit helps

If you can take your car to a shop they could give you an extra +20 hp by advancing your timing, but you WILL need to run premium gas all the time.

I have to agree with Marty, I think it will come down to who gets the better launch and hits their shifts. Cut the weight and have fun.

i'd say he has the advantage. and you never know he might have sumthin done that you dont knwo about. but i'd say it would prolly come down to the driver.
