Well just went out to the store real quick to pick some stuff up and on the way back ran into an R32 who thought I was trying to race him so he flew past me up to the light... Well @ the light he stayed back (at my back bumper in the lane next to me) and once the lights on the sides went yellow he starting moving forward so I brought the RPMs up to 2k just for fun and when the light went green I slammed the gas and took off, I actually chirped going into second (haha, kind of funny... It is 38 out right now) and he was wringing the **** out of his car but I had him all the way up to 60 (by about 4 CLs) so I slowed down and he went flying on by.
Caught the next light and he did the same exact thing but this time he starting power braking so I did the same, brought it up to 2500rpms this time, and damn I hit off hard and got him by 3 CLs through the light and just killed it and let him fly by.
So, Denali 2 and VW R32 0. Heh, the new cam rules. Though, I don't think my transmission is liking life
(As a reference I went 14.8 @ 94 bone stock (Fontana) with the third row seats in and on the stock 20s, now? Who knows... People have gotten 14.2 @ 98 with just a tune and CAI...).

LOL, who tries to race a Denali? I was reading this and expecting you to be in the SRT8. That's a pretty sick Denali you have.
Haha I wish I was in the SRT8, though in this weather I'd have done a 360 if I hit the gas hard (Nitto DRs in the rear), plus I have a flat front tire on it (thanks to the awesome roads in Norfolk, new tires get here Tuesday).
I bought the Denali for the Wife because she had to have the damn thing, so I decided to make it fun. The cam really woke it up, can rev it out to 7k now and not worry about valve float, and the dyno tune got rid of a lot (but not all of) the torque management, etc... L92 (Truck version of the LS3) FTW.
Next up is an LS3 intake for it heh.
EDIT: Also, as funny as it sounds I get more people try to race me in the Denali than the SRT8 lol, I guess they think because my SUV is loud I think it's fast, so they try to put me in my place. Some do, some don't haha. (Had a GTO guy slam it hard while I just went on normally, he showed me... lol)

What #'s did the Denali put down? Ya'll sound like me and my ol' lady, she just haaaaaad to have the Durango, I just don't have that extra coin to make it fun for me.
Good runs, sounds like the v-dubber was trying to get his rocks off by racing a tank, but he got squashed instead

Stock it put 335awhp/342 down, right now it's @ 405awhp / 422awtq and way passed the stock ratings for the transmission lol ah well.
With the CAI, catback, and LTs, and 93 diablo tune it put 354/361 (stupid Diablo with the fuel trims dialed in, TM still killed it though ) HP Tuners / Phaser V1 cam FTW. Stock heads, and no plan to do anything to them, I'm done with the Denali. Gas mileage didn't improve or decrease, still @ a whopping 13 combined city / highway (short stints...) I did get it up to 17mpg going down to NC one time though...

Yeah, he seemed a little annoyed @ the next light when he stayed behind my bumper and reved it up and hit it early just before the light turned green lol but I still got him.
Funny thing is what set this all off was him shifting all stupid to stay ahead of me coming out of the store (lowes) but I was right next to him just cruising, guess it made him think I was trying to race.
Looked up the stats and they aren't too shabby, low 14s @ 99 or so in the 1/4 (newer ones), with the older ones mid to high 14s.

You get a little worse mileage than we do. I barely managed 20 (like 19.8) mpg when we went to Atlantic City back in June. That was AVERAGING about 90-100mph too Gotta love the beltways

Not really, though around 3k is where the VVT kicks in (VTTTTAAAAAAKKKK, ok not really... but it is VVT) and it pulls like crazy for a heavy ass SUV all the way up to 7k rpms (The Phaser series is a VVT compatible cam, great stuff, though the L92 intake is limiting it in the upper RPMS (anything above 6400 rpms), so the LS3 intake will be going on to take care of it (at the expense of some (very little) low end response).
The SUV is quick, but it's still a heavy ass SUV. (I really wish I'd have got the SRT8 Jeep instead, but the Denali is light years ahead in the interior / exterior)
I'll try and get a recording on my camera tomorrow.
