If this is going to be your car, do you need to drive around more than 1 person at a time besides you? Are you willing to deal with 12mpg city? If you answer yes, then get rid of your low 13/high 12 sec mach 1 for the lower 14sec ss.
If this is going to be your wife's car, no way in hell should you trade the mach 1 in for it. Just putting it bluntly , but the mach is on the ls1 level stock/bolt-on for bolt-on and that is something even s197 guys wish they were.
Imo, fast suv's are compromises for old school car enthusiasts/lead foot people like us that need to drive around more than 1 person at a time/have a family need for it/work necessity. If you aren't part of that list, you should in no way get rid of your fun car for it. Just my dos cents.

It'll be kinda of a third car actually. I drive a SI sedan back and forth to work daily (45 miles each way) and the wifer drives the Jeep (she loves that POS). So that usually leaves the Miata and the Mach sitting. What you posted is exactly whats been going thru my mind. I don't have kids, or haul people around except on the weekends if we go out, etc. We do travel a good bit though, and it would be nice to have something comfy and competitive. Its a toss up really. As far as gas goes, everything I own sucks on gas, Lol! Except the civic. I'm going to take some time and mull it over before I do anything.

The whole feel of it and the little bit of luxury componets thrown in there just made me fall in love. Knowing I can do a few bolt ons and a tune, and hit a lowish 13 doesn't hurt either. The only catch is that if I trade the Miata and the Jeep in, I'm going to lose my ass on the Jeep...like bad. If I trade the Mach and the Miata in, I will only lose a couple grand to negative equity. Not bad on a two car trade. The whole idea of this trading business is to condense the small car collection (4) I've created and lower our monthly bills. Things are tightish lately,$$.
Since you have 2 people driving 4 cars, try to sell them privately. Take your time, and try to get book for them. You might could hock the Jeep, and get a resonble amount, with gas prices being low at the moment. Trading car on top of car is expensive, as you can see.

You Bastard!!!!! Why'd you have to go off and post that link stone? That burgundy is my alltime favorite color.
You're in a tough spot huh? IDK what Id do if I were you. If the Mach were a 5spd, it'd be no question, Id keep it (then again, I wouldnt own an auto, specially an auto mach, no offense). But, on the flipside, with what, 2g in mods and you have a damn-near 12sec suv? Like I said, Im really intrigued by quick trucks/suv's, so Id probably be sold.
I guess in a perfect world, keep the mach and get rid of the other two. Too bad you couldnt sit on the miata/jeep for a while and sell them out-right for top dollar, as mentioned above. (not that you couldnt, I dont know your situation, but you said things are tight, I know all about that, my finances are tighter than a gnats assshole). If you were a real smart man, you'd do whatever made the ol' lady the happiest
I've had this Miata for sale with no bites, not one call, for 4 months! Its really hard to move cars right now. Its impossible for me to sale the Jeep for anywhere near what I owe. I'm stuck with it. They are going for anywhere from $8-12k around here with similiar equipment.
I hear you guys about the Mach. I love it them too, but honestly it doesn't compare in the least to the Tbss as far as what they both offer (opinion of course). They both are badass in their own way. That still doesn't mean I want to trade the mach, or that I will. I like the rawness the Mach has too. In reality though, as long as the numbers are right, and the wife is happy, I'll prolly do it.

I talked to the dealer again today. The 2k in negative equity has magically turned into 6 grand.....in short, I'll be Maching it up for awhile. Those TBSSs are nice though. I'm going to keep my eye on them and since they're still producing them, I can always find another one down the road. I just can't see getting that upside down on anything.
