HAHA! No...I just get so annoyed reading all of these roll race stories. Then whenever I challenge a lot of guys around here they will only go from a roll, which I refuse since it's gay. Then, finally I hear about how johnny fatpockets thinks he owns gods vehicle because he can beat car B from a roll! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!
People are such puss's!!!!!
Wahhh! My car can't take off from a dig! GO GET A BETTER SUSPENSION SETUP, BETTER TIRES, BETTER DRIVETRAIN, AND LEARN HOW TO FREAKING LAUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There's guys with funny cars that have MUUUUUCHH more power than most of these roll racers have, and they come out of the hole like animals. Maybe people need to concentrate on more than just engine mods. Then there wouldn't be so many excuses!
Bread and Water man. Time for you to go to bed.

Roll racing is actually a good indication of power. why isn't it done professionally? because professionally it's not supposed to be a guage of who has deeper pockets, racing professionally IS a test of the driver.
For determining how fast your car is, it serves a genuine purpose.
And actually, yes, people do rate cars by roll. IN fact I believe there are a few magazines that list stats and instead of 0-60 they provide 20-100mph, a better indication of the power the car is making

Exactly..... get tired of how fast people think WRX's are. Not that they are slow but the new one will beat a S197 GT to 60 but in reality it is not as fast.
I love roll racing b/c it's a lot more convenient on the street instead of trying to find a good spot with no traffic to come to a complete stop. I don't mind racing from a stop just not on the street it's just sometimes too dangerous around here anyways. If I want to run from a stop I'll make the trip to the track to test out my driver skills to the next guy.
Ya I don't know anything...... The two types of racing are good for measuring different things. No matter what the "guy with the endurance" will eventually win, unless the "HUGE real built tough guy that has no endurance" lets off early.
Yeah because a few shots from the bigger guy, wouldn't put the little guy out of commission, right?! Seriously, No matter what way you slice it, when two people get in the ring, you don't change the rules to cater to your own shortcomings. I don't see why that's so difficult of a point to grasp.

well one, lets see, there are alot of cars, such as mine, that can't even grab traction under 50 mph. Not that I mind racing from a stop, but it makes racing more about the car than the driver. If I don't know someone, why would I give a rats ass who's a better driver? I have much more important things to worry about.
If you really want to test who is the better driver, go to an Auto-x event, and race there. That's the best indication of driver ability

I think your getting a little to literal with your example.
I do it from a dig and a roll. Actually, I like roll racing because if I ever find an idiot rice-boy who thinks his fartcan t3 turbo POS is fast, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and let him spool up before I curb stomp him so I don't hear any whining afterwards from 'bogging' or 'lost traction' or 'missed a shift' or 'turbo didn't spool' or any of that crap.
I don't see what's wrong with it. Dig racing is cool, but roll racing isn't bad. I see nothing wrong with either. Sometimes I race on my way to school in the morning, and I don't exactly want to stop at the light every time to race someone. Roll racing works fine for me on most occasions. Digs are fine too, though. As long as they race, I don't really care to be honest.

Im sure you would think its gay. You barley have enough power to spin off the line anyways. You have to look at power/traction. Streets dont provide the stickeyness that a track does. Some of us just have to much power to hook on the street, plain and simple.
