hehe.. Not just a Z06, but a ligenfelter Z06 too. Sorry about the lack of a vid on this one guys, but it kinda caught me with my pants down as I was coming back from picking up some beer and sodas for the whole superbowl gig tonight, and a visit to taco bell. lol
I'm pulling out of the taco bell parking lot and I see what looked like a yellow C6 about four cars in front of me turning onto 250 here in Charlottesville, so I gunned it a little around the corner and passed up a couple cars getting onto 250, then went around the others to get behind the Vette. Not knowing it a was Z06 or a ligenfelter yet, I dropped from 4th to 3rd at about 50 to see if the guy would bite on the rev and he stomps it and zooms up to the light. Thinking it was a worked C6 I about jizzed all over the steering wheel when I pulled up beside it at the light and saw the ligenfelter badge under the Z06 on the front fender. I couldn't tell if he had DR's or not, but I knew they weren't the factory run craps because I know what those look like, and the rims definitely weren't stock.
So we clean off the tires at the light, stupid as hell thing to do considering any cops with a two mile radius probably heard it, but I didn't really give a sh!t. So the light goes green and I launched at about 3k with a little bit of spin, but not much so I was pleasantly surprised as cold as the roads are here right now. He gets by about half a length off the line, but by second I'm right at his fender and ran out 2nd to almost 85 before pulling 3rd. He noses me a little at the shift but we're basically fender to fender to shut down at about 135 in 4th gear.
After the slow down the guy gave me a thumbs up and honk which was cool. I've still got the whole adrenaline rush going.. hehe.. I know ligenfelter has several different levels for the vettes, but I'm guessing for me to hang with it so close it had to have been running probably 460 or 470 to the wheels, otherwise he would have laid the smack down on the top end. Regardless I'm friggin pumped that I hung with him without getting a$$-raped.. :-) A better driver probably would've pwned me, but I'm sure as hell not gonna complain even though I didn't really "win".. LOL

Sub....nice run. he was def having traction problems, but none the less a rare car to lose to.
